Reviewing the positive outcome out of the free lunch services, the Foundation introduced scholarship program for students in dire need for direct support as defined under the Foundation’s Scholarship criteria. The program was initially implemented supporting the children under primary level. Children from poverty ridden families, remote areas, and uneducated parents could not support as much as the needs of basic schooling needs thereby continuing the cycle of poverty. The result is even though the children are enthusiastic and perform well at school, they could not continue their studies. Therefore Menjong Foundation has taken this initiative to at least do its parts in supporting schooling of such children. Delivering good services in remote areas and to the poor children is costly, time-consuming and requires serious efforts. Menjong Foundation passionately believes that no matter where we live, we have a right to access quality basic services and give education to poor children who are economically and socially disadvantage.
Menjong Foundation provides very practical support such as school uniforms, stationeries, school bags, umbrella and stipend of Nu. 250.00 per month for ten months in each year. Menjong Foundation works together with school Authority and local government to give the proper education and good service to the students those who are economically and socially disadvantage in remote schools
